SMS Messaging Policy
How Book Hook AI sends text messages, how you consent to receive them, and how to stop them at any time.

Who we are
Book Hook AI provides an AI phone receptionist for home-service contractors and appointment-based small businesses. When you call a business that uses Book Hook AI, our receptionist answers the phone on that business's behalf.
Text messages sent through this service come from the business you called. Book Hook AI is the technology provider that delivers them.
What messages we send
We send two kinds of text message, and nothing else.
1. A booking link, sent to you
If you call a business to book an appointment, the receptionist may offer to text you a link so you can choose a time and, where the business uses online payment, pay securely through their own booking system. We never ask for card details over the phone.

2. A call alert, sent to the business's own staff
When a call comes in after hours, the receptionist may text the business's on-call employee with the caller's details so they can return the call. These messages go to staff of the business, not to consumers.

We do not send marketing, promotional, or bulk messages from this service.
How you consent
Consent is given out loud, during the phone call you placed. Before sending you anything, the receptionist asks permission in plain language:
“I can text you a link to pick a time — want me to send that?”
A text is sent only if you say yes, and only to the mobile number you give during that call. If you say no, no message is sent and someone from the business follows up another way.
For on-call alerts, the business owner enters their own staff member's mobile number into their Book Hook AI dashboard. That is the point of consent for those messages.
We never buy, rent, or obtain phone numbers from third-party lists, and we never message a number that was not given to us directly for this purpose.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies and is tied to calls. In normal use you receive one message per call you place. We do not send recurring or scheduled messages.
How to opt out
Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and nothing after that.
Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details below.
Opting out of texts does not stop you from calling the business, and does not affect any appointment you have already booked.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Book Hook AI does not charge you for these messages; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.
Your information
The mobile number you provide is used only to send the messages described on this page. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or opt-in data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Numbers are shared only with the service providers that deliver the message on our behalf, and with the business you called.
